80-400, this was parked across the road, maybe 12-15 meters away. I think these were using the lens at full extension, and they’re a little softer than I’d like due to camera shake.<\/p>\n

\nSadly, the owner returned and drove off before I was able to reshoot the first of these in a portrait orientation.<\/p>\n
I was using the 80-400 at full extension, and needed to bump the ISO in order to get a semi-acceptable shutter speed. Even with VR, the level of magnification was very high, and camera shake was very noticeable. Leigh had the Manfrotto, so that was not an option.<\/p>\n
Across the road, the building displayed some interesting architectural features …<\/p>\n

I find the dynamic range in this last image to be interesting: observe the smoke detector within the shaded areas, as well as the different shades of white in the features that comprise the foreground.<\/p>\n
Within the constraints outlined, I was very satisfied with the FT1 adapter on the V1.<\/p>\n
